Edinburgh has a wide selection of health and well being centres such as The Floatarium in Stockbridge which offers a range of hollistic therapies and a floating pod experience.
For all the yoga lovers, Edinburgh has an abundance of yoga centres such as Aditi Yoga Centre, the Union Yoga Centre and the Iyengar Yoga Centre to name a few. Yoga is also available at all the council leisure centres and as part of Edinburgh's adult education programme.
Try out a class at the Edinburgh Pilates Centre or you easily find a class in Tai Chi through the programme finder. Why not try your hand at meditation ? You can reap the benefits of Shiatsu massage at the Shiatsu Centre as well as various massage centres.
Acupuncture in increasingly common in the capital now alongside Chinese Herbal Medicine. Jan De Vries offers a full health centre in complimentary medicine at York Place and Neal's Yard Remedies offer herbal alternatives.
For those who are in touch with their Angelic side, we have the Healing Centre - the only one in Scotland.
In Portobello, we have the Planetary Healing centre which is community run and has a team of volunteers to bring the benefits of alternative practices to the fore front.
The Prentice Centre in the North of the city has weekly drop in sessions in reiki, reflexology and indian head massage. This is run by Margery Bambrick, founder of Angel Healing Waters. This is a fabulous service to those who are on a low income, run by volunteers, sessions are by donation.
The Salisbury Centre is a holistic education centre, unifying Mind, Body and Spirit.
With all these choices on offer, I am sure there will be something suitable for everyone.
