There’s a new Syrian bakery in the Southside of Edinburgh. The Sweety House has opened this week after taking Haddington by storm with their Syrian bakes at The Loft Cafe & Bakery.

Owned by Talal Tahan and Nour Taleb, this cafe and takeaway is open 7 days from 9am – 9pm at 19 Clerk Street and serves up incredible sweet treats. There are a couple of tables to sit in and enjoy your sugar hit with a coffee, but all goods are available to takeaway too.

Having sampled some of the goods, we simply just had to help spread the word about this new cafe / bakery.

Talal has lived in Edinburgh for the last 18 years and Nour and his family fled from Syria in 2012 and moved to East Lothian in May 2016.

Nour had previously run a bakery in Aleppo.

We highly recommend a visit to this new bakery in Clerk Street. You can find the Sweety House on Facebook.
