We posted the above photo of the Braehead Park Shetland ponies on our social media channels last week and it was extremely popular.
You can also visit them, but please don’t feed them as they’re on special diets to keep them healthy.
To get there, head to the Barnton junction, take a right onto Whitehouse Road and then first left onto Braehead Road. The postcode for sat nav is EH4 6AX. The field that the ponies are in is at the end of the road and also on the route 1 cycle path.
You can also access them via the Cramond Brig by walking behind and down over the River Almond and to the park that way.
Of course, there is no guarantee that they’ll be at the edge of the field so you can see them easily. They might even be lying in the sun and not moving.
There is also a play park adjacent to the field, which has a good climbing frame and slide with wood chip on the ground.
