EVENT – Doors Open Days in Edinburgh 27-28 September 2014

We love the excellent Doors Open Days held across Scotland in Edinburgh the doors will be open to the public on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2014. The events are run by the Cockburn Association.

Fascinating buildings are opening their doors over the weekend for free. Some will be for the first time, some will be once in a lifetime, but they are all normally closed to the public (or charge an admission fee).

What’s on

You can now search online at  the 2014 programme. There are 115 places to visit this year.

Lothian Buses are opening their Central Depot doors on Saturday 27th September from 12-4pm.

Take a tour around Surgeon’s Hall Museum. You need to reserve your place.

You can also visit the Sheriff Court, The Filmhouse, John Knox House, Leith Theatre, Newhaven Station, The Royal Observatory, The Grove Community Garden and Thomson’s Tower. So many to choose from!

The Cockburn Association also have a series of talks and walking tours. You must reserve your spot via eventbrite.

Hard copies of the programme are available in Edinburgh libraries from the beginning of September.
