COMIC: Scott vs Zombies

Scott vs Zombies

THRILL to the sight of Edinburgh city centre overrun with zombie shoppers and undead bus drivers…

GASP as a freak storm unleashes an ancient evil hidden deep within Castle Rock…

Then MARVEL at the fact that this fun and action-packed new comic from 2000AD and Batman writer Alan Grant and acclaimed artist Robin Smith has been produced in collaboration with Edinburgh-based charity Artlink, which aims to highlight the role art & creativity can play in the lives of those living at a disadvantage or with a disability.

Scott vs Zombies stars the eponymous real-life hero Scott Davidson, a young man living with autism in Edinburgh. When he met with Alan Grant to discuss the project, a shared passion for action, adventure, superheroes and the undead saw the premise for the comic rise from the crypt…

And the end result is great fun. Locals will enjoy spotting the Edinburgh landmarks featured in Robin Smith’s artwork, whilst Grant’s script cleverly shows how everyone — not just the spandex-clad superheroes — has the ability within them to save the day.

The title is available from Autism Network Scotland, Artlink and Forbidden Planet for a zombie-bashing steal of a price of £1.99.
