Live_Transmission: Joy Division Reworked

Few bands have left such a lasting legacy as Joy Division, thanks largely to the enigmatic charisma of tragic frontman Ian Curtis and his emotionally-wrought songs.

On Tuesday 1st October at the Usher Hall, that legacy continues to evolve with Live_Transmission: Joy Division Reworked, an aural and visual collaboration between the Heritage Orchestra, electronic musician Scanner and experimental visual artist Matt Watkins.

Rather than being an evening of cover versions of the band’s material, Live_Transmission is instead a deconstruction of Joy Division’s songs and themes, presented using innovative music, sound and visual techniques.

Like the band itself, the night promises to defy convention and push boundaries, and is likely to create an atmosphere all of its own.

Live_Transmission: Joy Division Reworked is at the Usher Hall on Tuesday 1st October at 8pm. Tickets are available on the Usher Hall website.
