Vicki Weitz is running 26 marathons in 26 days up and down the Royal Mile in August
Vicki Weitz is currently running (and performing) 26 marathons in 26 days during the Edinburgh Fringe.
At 7am every morning, Vicki starts her runs from the gates of Holyrood Palace and runs up and down the Royal Mile until she’s completed a marathon.
We managed to spot her amongst the Fringe crowds late yesterday morning as she was almost finished her 3rd marathon.
She looked incredibly fresh faced considering she had already completed 24 miles and wasn’t out of breath when she stopped to talk to us.
Vicki is thoroughly enjoying her marathon running as she watches Edinburgh slowly wake up, but admitted that towards the end of her daily marathon she has to dodge tourists and flyerers!
Vicki is happy for anyone to join her for a marathon (or a couple of miles) so do get in touch with her.
We’d like to wish Vicki good luck for the rest of her marathons as she raises questions about how our internal worlds affect our external performance and how we motivate ourselves.
Weird Fringe have written about their experience on meeting (and running with) Vicki.
