This year at the Fringe, we’ll be focusing a lot on Edinburgh-based theatre companies, performers and producers bringing some homegrown talent to the world’s largest arts festival in August.
One of these is the Fronteiras Theatre Lab, an organisation established to showcase the best in international theatre and writing based in the city. This year, they will be producing their Theatre Tasters programme as part of the Laughing Horse Free Fringe.
To help launch and raise funds for their run, Fronteiras are holding a drinks-tasting event at The Fiddler’s Elbow in Picardy Place on 5th July at 7pm. Featuring a selection of drinks originating from the countries where Fronteiras Theatre Lab’s plays come from, you’ll have the chance to sample wines from Australia, beers from Norway and gins from Scotland!
As well as that, you’ll be able to view the trailer for Theatre Tasters and meet the cast and crew bringing an exotic taste of international theatre to the Fringe in a couple of months’ time.
Tickets for the event cost £20, and must be booked prior to the event – they are available here.
