2012 Armed Forces Day – West Princes Street Gardens
The City of Edinburgh is delighted to support Armed Forces Day again. This year it is being held on Saturday 30th June in West Princes Street Gardens and will allow you to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, and from veterans to cadets.
Head along to watch the Parade and enjoy the activities and entertainment at the Ross Theatre and show your support and appreciation for the contribution those involved make to our community.
The event is free and suitable for all the family.
12:30 Veterans and Cadets gather at King’s Stables Road for the Armed Forces Day Parade – report to Royal British Legion Scotland Parade Marshals
13:00 Parade departs King’s Stables Road and proceeds into Princes Street Gardens. The parade will follow a route past Ross Fountain and through the Ross Theatre
13:20 Speeches at Ross Theatre from Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh, Armed Forces and Veterans Representatives.
13:45 Ross Theatre and West Princes Street Gardens will host a wide variety of activities:

• The Kennedy Cupcakes
• Highland Dancing
• Veterans Association Information Stands
