Think New York Rat Pack crossed with Mississippi Riverboat and you’re part of the way there towards understanding Vegas’ popularity and appeal. The party features a whole host of top quality entertainment, including some of Edinburgh’s sparkliest performers in the unmistakable shapely shape of Missy Malone; and cabaret artistes extraordinaire Gypsy Charms and Impressive Johnson performing as part of the Vegas Revue, which helps keep partygoers dazzled when it kicks off at 11pm during the celebrations.
The Vegas Revue will be hosted by recent Fringe faves Rayguns Look Real Enough, whose comic rock posturings are sure to go down a storm with the Vegas crowd.
Rayguns Look Real Enough will also be travelling through west later in the month where they play the Glasgow Cabaret Festival at the Glasgow Art Club on 10th October. Then, on the 13th October, Fringe-sensation Vive Le Cabaret – an Edinburgh-based production – will be taking its naughty but nice charms along the M8, with Gypsy Charms, Impressive Johnson and the Kitsch Cats in tow.
So whether you’re planning on cruising the strip at Vegas’ birthday party this weekend; or supporting local acts through west – October looks set to sparkle with all the variety and entertainment of the cabaret.
