Flawless are a world class street dance and break-dancing crew, who performed in the movie “Street Dance 3D” and were finalists in Britain’s Got Talent. Returning to the Edinburgh Fringe for a second year, the boys are back in a bigger and more suited venue to showcase their talents. Our junior review team were so inspired by their 2011 show, that they wanted to write this review for themselves.
Helen McNaughton (aged 13) reviews:
The show was full of amazing stunts which made you out of breath at the end of the performance, and even had many moments of comedy.
Even though we saw Flawless at the Fringe Festival last year in their show “Chase the Dream”, and I chose to see “StreetDance 3D” at the cinema for my birthday, we thought we would go and see them again this year because we enjoyed the shows so much. And this year was no disappointment. They came back even bigger and better this time with their show “Intergalactic Dream”. And even better for us, because we started queuing 50 minutes before the start of the show, we were sitting right in the middle of the front row.
Their show incorporated music and dance routines from the Jackson 5 and other excerpts from Michael Jackson’s music, and they would have made him proud.
If we had to pick out a favourite bit of the show, then the section where members of the group got to pick an object which changed them in a certain way was our favourite. My brother liked the routine with the coat which was inspired by a movie, but I liked the choice of the glove best.
There was a full house when we went to see the show, so if you want to see them, get tickets soon. You will love this show.
Additional comments by Alex (9): “I definitely liked the dreams to reality sequence they did, with all the different dreams they had.”
Flawless pretty much have the entire package – style, vibrancy, colour and comedy value. The show provided all round entertainment for the family with plenty to inspire the kids and adults alike. Whipping up the audience into to fever-pitch levels of excitement, their slick synchronised dance routines have dazzled the Edinburgh Fringe audience once again.
From their humble beginnings on a talent show, Flawless really have pursued their dreams and are evidence of the success that can be achieved. These guys will have a following for years to come as they left the audience on a high and dancing out the theatre.
