With its blend of Neo-Baroque style, Commedia del’Arte, ballet and bone-flexing, their production of Pinocchio: A Fantasy of Pleasures is therefore unlikely to feature a singing cartoon cricket – or indeed resemble any other telling of the classic story you’re likely to have seen before.
Elements are also drawn from the worlds of pop-culture, burlesque and fashion – meaning this show could prove to be one of the most flamboyant assault on the senses at this year’s Fringe.
In conjunction with Universal Arts, we have 20 pairs of tickets to give away to one of Pinocchio’s preview performances on the 4th & 5th of August at 7pm at the New Town Theatre in George Street.
The first 20 people to email firstname.lastname@example.org with their name and their choice of date (4th or 5th) will win a pair of tickets, giving them the opportunity to witness this fantastical pleasure for themselves. Please use a subject of ‘Edinburgh Spotlight Pinocchio competition’ in your email.
More details of Pinocchio: A Fantasy of Pleasures are on the Universal Arts website.
