The Signet Library will play host to a Pop-up Champagne Bar throughout the city’s most celebrated season
The Signet Library is an ideal location to meet friends or colleagues during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with its impressive surroundings and beautiful architectural details.
Last night we attended a preview evening of the newest Fringe venue in town. The Pop-up Champagne Bar is being run by Edinburgh company Heritage Portfolio who have also struck a deal with Pommery for the venture.
Scott Robertson, director of sales at Heritage Portfolio, is looking forward to this new venture, which will be able to hold around 100-150 people at a time.
“It’s a great opportunity to see inside a building that thousands of people walk past every day,” he said.
We think it will be a great opportunity for Edinburgh residents and tourists alike to see inside this magnificent building. With the positioning of the bar being in the lower-library, the buzz of the Fringe from the High Street will be audible, creating a unique atmosphere.
Teas, coffees and light snacks will be served in the morning making this venue suitable for all. This pop-up bar is set to be perfect meeting place before or after a Fringe show or a performance of the Edinburgh Tattoo.
The Pop-up Champagne Bar will be at the Signet Library from 5th August through to 29th August 2011 and will be open from 11am to 11pm.
