Packed programme for Imaginate 2011. Tickets on sale now.
Edinburgh’s Imaginate Festival returns for 2011 with another excellent programme that is primarily aimed at those aged under 10. There are some shows suitable for those slightly older and up to 17 years.
We’re particularly excited about taking the Mini-Spotlight member to see Mr Benn (Aged 4+ on 10-14 May, various times) and re-live our childhood favourite.
Circus Incognitus sees Jamie Adkins clowning around and demonstrating his acrobatic skills (aged 7+ on 13-15 May)
On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May, you can drop in from 12noon at the Traverse Theatre bar/cafe for the Imaginate Festival Fringe for families during the day (free). There will be performaces that are packed with “fun, imagination and a little sprinkling of quirkiness”.
Imaginate can sometimes be dwarfed by other Edinburgh Festivals, but it’s always a great programme that provides tremendous amounts of entertainment for children. It’s also an excellent warm up for th Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August and gives children a thirst for theatre performances.
You can download the 2011 programme here (pdf, opens in new window) and tickets are already on sale online, by telephone and in person at the Traverse.
