EVENT – Cakes for Japan, 26th March 2011, Edinburgh

26th March 2011

Tsunami Appeal Fundraiser, Quaker Meeting House

Cakes for Japan is a pop-up cake shop raising funds for the Red Cross following the devastating events in Japan.

Cake makers from all over Edinburgh and its surrounds are donating edible goodies which will be sold at the Quaker Meeting House at 7 Victoria Terrace on Saturday 26th March from 11am 3pm. Edinburgh University’s Japanese Choir will be showing their support in song.

100% of money taken at this event will be donated to the Red Cross’ Japan Tsunami Appeal.  If you can’t make the event, you can still make a  donation here.

If you’d like to get involved in the event in any way please email dee (@) itsy.org.uk – the more cakes and treats there are, the more money will be raised.  You can also contact her on twitter – @DeeItsy

There will be vegan treats on offer too, so if dairy isn’t for you, there will still be options to choose from.

For inspiration check out the Cakes for Japan blog– started by renowned treat maker Miss Cakehead. There is also a facebook event page so please spread the word and invite your friends to raise lots of money over cake and good conversation.
