You can be assured of a warm welcome at Hula Juice Bar in the Grassmarket. Nestled at the bottom of Victoria Street on West Bow, the premises has just been revamped to include excellent baby changing facilities and disabled toilets.
We popped in this morning to have a smoothie and opted for a ‘Special H’, consisting of muesli, mango, blueberry, strawberry, yoghurt and milk. (£2.95 regular/ £3.95 large). This is just one example of their extensive juice and smoothie menu with the option of organic boosters thrown in.
Hula has excellent wifi, making this a great place for anytime of the day to fuel up whilst doing a little work. There’s lovely artwork and pictures on the walls, whilst the tables are decorated with fresh whole pineapples.
Soups, sandwiches and wraps appear at lunch which are also available to take-away alongside an excellent range of soft drinks (including Fentiman’s) and hot drinks include herbal teas and Artisan Roast coffee.
Hula is perfectly positioned for having a break from shopping in the Grassmarket, but the friendly service and genuine warmth makes this a place worth travelling to.
