A guide to Edinburgh for kids
By Colin Chisholm
We wrote an article with some ideas of activities to do in Edinburgh during the February break with children.
We love exploring Edinburgh with the mini-Spotlight members and look forward to trying out the ideas in a fabulous new book called Edinburgh Unlocked.
Written by local teacher Colin Chisholm, ideas included in this new guidebook for children include where to drop down a death slide, cuddle a chicken, make a Celtic cross and brandish a broadsword – as well as many other fun activities, facts, and jokes.
To win one of ten copies of this book (which will be posted direct to your doorstep next week), you must answer this really tough question about Edinburgh:
What time does the gun go off at Edinburgh Castle every day?
Any time format will be accepted.
You can enter the following ways
1) Email the answer to firstname.lastname@example.org
2) Send us the answer on twitter to @EdinSpotlight
3) Leave the answer in the comments section on the relevant post on our facebook page . This one will be particularly easy since the people before you will have already answered. Be careful not to copy the wrong answer 😉
Competition closes at 1300 hours on Monday 14th February.
Winners will be notified by email/ twitter dm (make sure you’re following us) / facebook on Monday afternoon. Good luck!
