The Earthy Cook Book Swap & Autumn Harvest Weekend
Saturday 16th Oct 2010 – Sunday 17th Oct 2010 at Earthy Foods, Southside.
Saturday, 16th October – The Earthy Cook Book Swap Look out your old cook books – you know the ones you’ve never opened; that were unwanted gifts; or maybe that you’re just a little bored with. Take them into Earthy by 7pm on Friday, 15th October, and they’ll give you tokens to exchange them for different cook books on Saturday 16th. Update your cook book collection and enjoy trying out some new recipes. There’s no charge – just as long as you take some books in to swap. The Earthy Cook Book Swap starts at 12 noon and finishes at 5pm.
Sunday 17th October – Earthy Autumn Harvest Sunday On the Sunday, special guests will be celebrating the best autumnal produce. Phantassie Organic Farm will be demonstrating apple pressing – take along your garden apples and have them pressed into juice. There is also an Earthy Cake & Jam Making Competition – so get your pinny on, roll up your sleeves and give it your best shot. The competition will be judged by Lea Harris who was the only Scottish contestant on the Great British Bake Off. The baker of the best cake and maker of the best jam will each receive a £50 Earthy Gift Voucher. So join in the fun and have a go. The Autumn Harvest Festival starts at 12 noon and finishes at 4pm. Pop along and join in the fun.
