PREVIEW – A Play, A Pie & A Pint – Traverse Theatre

A Play, A Pie & A Pint

Sustenance for the body as well as the mind will once again be on offer at the Traverse from next week, with the return of the popular A Play, A Pie & A Pint season.

For £12, you will be able to enjoy some original new writing – performed in the Traverse 2 – and also a tasty pie (vegetarian options available) with a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a soft drink.

This season features plays co-produced by Play, Pie & A Pint founders Òran Mór and Paines Plough, a London-based new theatre company named after a pint and a pub (though sadly not a pie).

Dealing with subjects as diverse as uncertainty, remembrance, guilt and environmental change, these new plays are likely to intrigue and entertain at the Traverse over the next five weeks.

And this time, we will try and avoid our predilection for the vegetarian haggis pie and include a review of each variety on offer as part of our coverage…

Dates, times and ticket information are available on the Traverse website.
