FRINGE REVIEW – Holly Burn, Living and Dying

10 – 29 August  (not 17)    1535 (1625)   @ Just The Tonic, Caves

Holly Burn returns to Edinburgh with another bizarre but compelling show that leaves the audience wondering throughout what sketch could possibly come next.   There’s no doubting her quirky style of comedy routines, which  involve characters such as Jason, the very rich tiger and a smiling girl with an obsession for pens.

With a dashing of friendly audience participation and improvisation,  Holly captivates her audience who spend the duration of the show chuckling away.  Failed card tricks and live crisp eating are part of one of her funnier characters ‘Mad Dog’ –   before she re-stages her birth with the help of a pink laundry basket.

A great way to spend an afternoon and this show confirms that Holly is still brilliant but completely and utterly bonkers.  Well worth a look.
