Samba Sene
Samba Sene was born in Senegal, but has lived in Scotland for the last 10 years, where he has been treating audiences to his fusion of rock, pop, jazz, funk and traditional music from Africa.
His band Diwan – meaning ‘whole world’ – provide a thumping and infectious backing to his original songs, and he has played at festivals and gigs across the UK, bringing his unique and feelgood sound to appreciative audiences wherever he plays.
Appealing both to serious world music fans and to those who merely want to hear – and dance to – something a bit different, Samba Sene & Diwan will be rocking the Fringe for five nights at the Jazz Bar, as well as at St John’s Church in the West End.
Full details of all his dates – and samples of his music – are available on his myspace and you can order tickets for the Jazz Bar shows on the Fringe website.
