All the times I have eaten here, I’ve received friendly service and good food. I love looking at the current exhibition on the walls and there is just a positive atmosphere when eating in here.
A two-course meal is around the £11 mark and a bottle of housewine from £13. Vegetarians are catered for, and although I am a meat eater, I loved the sweet potato pie.
My dining partner’s chicken was succulent and hit the mark on a recent cool evening.
Of course we left room for dessert, the staff recommended the chocolate brownie and it was served warm and simply heavenly.
The Lot is also child friendly and a perfect spot for a coffee and light bite during the day.
Many people take advantage of the well-timed evening menu, which allows them to dine before heading upstairs to a ceilidh or music event.
