We’ve been busy previewing several shows coming to this year’s Fringe but it would take at least three months to see everything we wanted to!
There are several other shows on our ‘hit list’ that we hope to squeeze in and review for our readers:
Life of Si : Si Harder return as part of the Five Pound Fringe and last year they demonstrated their talent by captivating the audience with their show.
Hairspray is set to be a sing-along toe-tapping musical at the Royal High School. We have seen past productions from the company and were so impressed we’ve added this to our list as must-see.
That’s Lunch Productions are putting on two shows at Stewart Melville’s college, Give a dog a bad name and Apathy. Written and produced by Edinburgh resident Michael Shand.
The Oxford Imps return for their seventh year, providing afternoon comedy at the Gilded Balloon.
Over at the Hill Street Theatre, the one woman comedy show by Josie Melia What would Helen Mirren Do? looks interesting and Dame Helen Mirren herself sent the company a good luck message for their Brighton run.
The Fourth Monkey Theatre are producing A Clockwork Orange and the company is offering some free tickets to anyone who can produce one of the lucky ‘Clockwork blood Oranges’ placed around town to the box office.
Having recently appeared in the Edinburgh Magic Festival, we’re recommending Lewis Barlow and his Seven Wonders of Magic.
The gothic comedy, Virtuous Flock by N10 Productions is sure to be an interesting choice for lunchtimes by their energetic cast.
And lastly for now - Andrew Hungerford’s Of people and not things is a part love, part mystery striving to find the humour at the end of the world.

Thank you for this mention. It would be lovely to see you there if you can make it. The team at Remarkable Arts are getting in to Hill Street to set up now and it looks like it’s going to be gorgeous in there. Two more shows added to their programme too http://www.remarkable-arts.com
I’m loving the Willy Wonka style ‘golden orange’ being offered by Fourth Monkey! Free tickets in exchange for Blood red oranges. Nice touch.
