August 5th-29th (not 16th)
Most of the group have theatrical backgrounds, which appeared to serve them well for last year’s run as they received strong reviews and were one of those word-of-mouth cult hits on the Fringe that saw them practically sell out all of their shows.
With observational sketches that have a little bit of darkness about them, 2010 sees Comedy Bitch back in Edinburgh and back in heat.
Here, they took a little time out of rehearsals to answer our questions about their show and Edinburgh plans.
Tell us a little bit about your show – where’s it happening, what’s it about, why should people come to see it?
‘Them is us’ is brought to you by the new hot sketch act on the circuit, Comedy Bitch. We’re on at The Underbelly, 6.15 pm.
What’s the show about? It’s about funny.
Why should you see it? You’ll laugh a lot.
How will you be promoting your show?
We’ll be adopting a policy of group kidnapping.
What are you most looking forward to about coming back to Edinburgh?
Last year we had a wonderful sell out run, and so we’re looking for another one…
And what are you hoping for?
If money was no object, what publicity stunt would you do to promote your show?
We’d buy Edinburgh and put a poster on it.
Who else are you planning or hoping to see?
Stuart Lee, Daniel Kitson,
What do you have planned for after the Fringe?
Sum up your show in three words:
Them is us.
