Have you ever stood watching all the fun and spectacle of the Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade and wished to yourself that you too could be part of it?
Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of following the assembled bands and performers from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo as they march and play through Holyrood Park. Or maybe you’ve always longed to take your place amongst the community groups, samba bands and Fringe acts which give the Cavalcade its carnival atmosphere.
Maybe you just want to fall into line behind Cavalcade and Edinburgh Fringe regulars The Lady Boys of Bangkok…
This year, Freddie Rutz and his Rhythm Drum & Dance show are giving you the chance to fulfil those dreams.
We’ve already previewed the show, which looks set to be a high-energy explosion of drumming and dance at Venue 150.
To – quite literally – drum up business for the show, Freddie is offering 100 people the chance to appear with the performers from Rhythm Drum & Dance in this year’s Cavalcade procession.
The parade itself takes place on Sunday 8th August in Holyrood Park. Before that, successful applicants will have the opportunity to study a video of the choreography which Freddie will email to them before August 4th. Then, on the 5th & 6th of August, open rehearsals will be held for those taking part, allowing them to practice and fine-tune the routine.
And, as if appearing in the Cavalcade was not reward enough, everyone taking part will get a free t-shirt and tickets to the show itself that evening.
This offer is limited to the first 100 applicants – so if you want to be in with a chance of appearing, fill in the form on Rhythm Drum & Dance’s website today!
