5th – 29th August (not 17th), 9-10pm
One performance only of School of Pop on the 12th August, 11.30pm-12.30am
If you were a pupil at last year’s School of Pop – Frisky & Mannish’s side-splitting sellout show – then you’ll be excited to learn the duo are back – and are taking their particular class of education further…
Frisky & Mannish The College Years sees Felicity Fitz-Frisky and Hansel Amadeus Mannish drag their pop parodies from behind the bike sheds and take them to the hallowed halls of higher learning.
School of Pop featured such classic performances as Lily Allen singing Noel Coward; a primary school child’s touching rendition of Meatloaf’s “I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)”; and a fantastic Girls Aloud pastiche with the original song lyrics replaced by lines from nursery rhymes.
We can only begin to imagine what exploits F&M will get up to at college, with all its teachings – and temptations – close at hand. We are however sure that this show will be a highlight of the Fringe, and any fans of clever and hilarious musical comedy owe it to themselves to sign up for a place at Frisky & Mannish’s seat of learning.
As an added bonus, a one-night only reprise of School of Pop will be performed at the Udderbelly on 12th August, allowing you to take refresher lessons in Frisky & Mannish’s unique style of eductation. It’s bound to sell out, so don’t be left standing in the corner in a dunce’s hat because you left it to late to buy a ticket.
