FRINGE PREVIEW – Auld Reekie Roller Girls (+ competition)

Edinburgh's team

7th August 2010 (one performance only), 2pm-5pm

Fancy starting your Fringe 2010 with something a little different?  Then look no further than Edinburgh’s very own Auld Reekie Roller Girls

Scary Blocker and The Prisoner of AzkaSLAM sees Edinburgh’s very own flat track roller derby team, the Auld Reekie Roller Girls play London’s Rocking Rollers in a magical, full-contact, roller-spectacular!

This is the first event Auld Reekie’s Girls have hosted as part of the Edinburgh Fringe, but previous home games have attracted a huge response from spectators eager to witness this modern sporting phenomenon. Roller Derby has exploded over Europe in the past 4 years, with over 30 leagues now up and skating in the UK. The recent release of Drew Barrymore’s Roller Derby film ‘Whip It’ has pushed the sport into the imagination of the public.

You can also join the after show party at Studio 24 where Graveyard Johnnys will be providing the music.

Edinburgh Spotlight Competition. We have 2 adult tickets to give away in the first of our Fringe 2010 competitions if you can answer the following question correctly;
