The section of the Royal Mile between the top of the Mound and Cockburn Street is always a vibrant, exciting, colourful and crazy explosion of performers during the Fringe – meaning sometimes all you have to do is point your camera in any direction and click.
Here then is the first of a short series of photographs from Fringes past – this time focusing the lens on 2006.
If you were there, I hope they bring back memories – if not, they give you a flavour of what went on. In any case, I hope you enjoy them!

"Vertigo" - Street performer midway through his act

"Misses America" - performers posing for the camera

"Pythonesque" - Performers advertise their show

"Flex" - performer from Kataklo limbering up

"Commence the Dancing" - performers advertising their theatrical show

"Top Hat" - performer (probably from Dr Faustus...)

"Gamarjobat" - sadly absent from the Fringe for 2 years now

"On the Phone" - performer from a production of The Odyssey

"Balance" - Street performers outside St Giles
