Skipping to fitness
Tracy Griffen who runs the excellent Griffen Fitness is hosting an unofficial street party to celebrate the launch of her new studio and the start of the Leith Festival.
The whole idea is to have a good time and you will be able to take part in the various activities on offer such as limbo, hopscotch and some general old fashioned fun. Music will be supplied by the Banana Sessions and Mexican nibbles by our recently reviewed Los Cardos.
There will be a trophy for the winner in each fitness genre – Skipping (cardiovascular), Hopscotch (plyometrics), Hula Hooping (abdominal strength) and Limbo (flexibility). I personally will be looking out my hula hoop and getting my hips moving.
