Now in its fourth year, the Edinburgh Canal Festival and Raft Race takes place on Saturday 26 June.
Kicking off at 10am, with the offical opening at 12pm, you can download the 2010 programme here.
This year’s event will be opened by none other than local resident Ian Rankin and as well as the fun-filled raft race, will feature free boat trips, canoe displays and taster sessions, a ‘water walker’ and a whole lot more.
There will be live music, activities for the kids and a display of model boats, all taking place around the canal basin at Edinburgh Quay.
There’s still time to get involved – if you’d like to enter a raft in the race, contact email@example.com or to have a stall on the day, drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. For other chances to be involved, contact Pat on 0131 453 4617.
The festival is sponsored by British Waterways and the City of Edinburgh Council, and is co-ordinated by Re-Union Canal Boats.
