NEWS – Siege Perilous win New Arts Sponsorship award

Edinburgh-based theatre company Siege Perilous has attracted an Arts & Business sponsorship award. Funded by the Scottish government, this match-funding scheme will double the company’s sponsorship benefits and is allowing them to embark upon a programme of five shows in 2010.

The first of these is Suspicious Minds, a new work from Edinburgh writer Caroline Dunford running at The GRV from 25-29 May. Focusing on the intertwined lives and secrets of four close friends, it promises to be a complex and intriguing piece, using the iconic figure of Elvis Presley as a central motif.

Siege Perilous aim to provide new, small-scale theatre in Edinburgh outwith the Festival Fringe. This award will allow them the opportunity to continue to do so and Edinburgh’s theatre scene can only benefit as a result.
