Edinburgh’s neighbouring coastal towns have a long-held tradition of making a living from the sea.
This fact is celebrated for the second year running at the 3 Harbours Seafood Festival in May.
Taking place in and around Prestonpans – one of the ‘three harbours’, with Cockenzie and Port Seton – the Festival will feature music, art and entertainment – and of course fresh, locally-sourced seafood.
A ceilidh will be held on Friday 28th to mark the start of the event, and a seafood banquet at the Prestoungrange Gothenburg on the Saturday evening is another highlight. Real ales, kite flying, music and craft stalls will also add to the festival atmosphere, making this a fun-filled family event which celebrates the area’s rich fishing heritage.
