Taste of Italy has just opened on Baxter’s Place/Blenheim Place junction and is another string to the bow of Tony Crolla, owner of Vittorias and La Favorita.
I had a quick look in the premises yesterday (complete with Tony having a coffee in the window) and can confirm it has all the trademarks of his other successful restaurants. Opening early for breakfast, Taste of Italy also offers free wifi alongside burgers, paninis, pasta and pizza. The cakes in the window were extremely tempting and I am sure that this will be a successful business at this location, unlike any of its predecessors.
Another option for pre-theatre dining before a production at the neighbouring Playhouse, or just a quick coffee and cake.
I am looking forward to reviewing Taste of Italy soon and will report back my findings.
