REVIEW – Visit to see Santa at Jenners

We have already covered Jenner’s Christmas tree this year which is a must see in Edinburgh over Christmas.  But we were really excited to go and visit the main man himself in his Jenner’s grotto.

The best thing of all is that it is FREE to walk through the winter wonderland that leads to where Santa sits.  You only need to pay £4.50 if you want Santa to give the visiting child a present and this is completely optional, no pressure to buy.

In busy waiting times (weekends) you can distract from the wait by entering the grotto  and sitting in the sleigh waiting area.  There is an elf on hand to help co ordinate the visits through the wonderland which leads to Santa.

After walking through this short wonderland, you will be instructed when Santa is ready.  Unfortunately, Santa was still really busy preparing all the little boys’ and girls’ presents, so I only saw his chair today.

When Santa is not preparing for Christmas, he is available in the children’s clothes department (basement) from 10am – 5pm every day (till 7pm Thursdays).

You can get a picture taken on Santa’s knee and they are of good quality and are priced at £5 for one or £10 for three photos.  These would make excellent presents for Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles etc.

Well worth a visit with no hard sell, but just make sure you have your story straight before entering if you dont choose the option of a present!
