This Sunday sees the annual Great Scottish Santa Run taking place in West Princes Street Gardens.
Fun to take part in and to watch, the Santa Run will see dozens of competitors don Father Christmas outfits (or elf hats for the under 12s) and run round two circuits of the gardens for a distance of 1.5km.
Everyone who enters gets a medal and the registration fees (£10 for adults; £5 for children) will go to kids’ charities When You Wish Upon A Star and Radio Forth’s Cash 4 Kids appeal, making this a worthy cause to take part in, especially at this time of year.
Registration opens at 9am with warmups beginning at 10; then the assorted Santas and their little helpers will be off at 11am sharp!
You can find out more and register here.
Edinburgh Spotlight hopes to be covering the event, with a photo gallery and feature to follow shortly after it finishes.
