REVIEW – Afternoon Tea at Debenhams

Debenhams Cream Tea

Debenhams Cream Tea

Debenhams in Princes Street have a restaurant on the fourth floor with spectacular views over to Edinburgh Castle if you can get one of the four tables perfectly positioned.

A few of us nipped up for an afternoon clotted cream tea at £2.99 per person and because we went in the afternoon, when it isn’t so busy, the prime tables were available.

Now this deal is exactly what it says on the tin.  The scone is far from freshly baked, but it satisfactory and at least the clotted cream is the real deal in that it’s Rodda’s.  The tea is ok, but at £2.99 for the centre of town, looking up to the Castle, I am not complaining.

Mmmmmmmmmmm

We had ample time to eat, weren’t rushed out of our seats and soaked in the view.  Don’t want to ruin the wow factor with the view picture, but it’s worth a wee visit.

This offer is also available at Ocean Terminal Debenhams, but no view of the Castle whilst eating your scone there !

Suitabled for disabled ?    Yes, full lift access to the restaurant.
