Featuring an original blend of contemporary and modern music, the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland’s debut performance of their show The Dragon’s Lair promises to be much more than a stereotypical pipe band concert.
With a blend of pipes, electric guitars, keyboard and drums, The Dragon’s Lair will showcase the talents of some of Scotland’s best young musicians at the Usher Hall as part of the Homecoming 2009 celebrations.
Appearing in Edinburgh for the first time, the NYPBoS is made up of talented, hand-picked performers, ranging from 10 to 25 years old – including 13 year-old Connor Sinclair, personal piper to both Sir Sean Connery and First Minister Alex Salmond.
The Dragon’s Lair is set to be an exciting and dynamic evening of entertainment and a perfect way to round off the St Andrew’s Day weekend.
Tickets, priced from £10, are on sale now and are available from the Usher Hall website, on 0131 228 1153, or in person from the Usher Hall box office on Lothian Road.
