It’s that time of year when trees, lights and gigantic inflatable snowmen are appearing all over the city.

So please, be on the look-out for particularly eye-catching Christmas decorations around the city and email photos of them to us here at info@edinburghspotlight.com, together with your name and the location you took the shot in. It doesn’t matter whether they’re shop displays, restaurants or private homes – we want to see them all!

ALL entries will be published as a gallery on the site and the best overall entry will be published on the homepage of Edinburgh Spotlight on Boxing Day!

* ‘Best’ may be interpreted as you see fit. Beautifully understated arrangements of lights which make you gasp with delight are as valid as huge flashing National Grid-draining installations that can be seen from outer space.
