REVIEW – Cafe Truva, Leith

Leave a comment *****

Stopped off for a cuppa and cake at Cafe Truva on The Shore in Leith.  This review is only for a cup of tea and cake, but they do all kinds of food for lunch etc and I look forward to trying them out.

Cafe Truva

It was 3pm or so when I was there, so not particularly busy, but a there was nice atmosphere,  with magazines to read at your leisure.

Cafe Truva 2

Delicious

I opted for a pot of tea and a chocolate orange muffin which came warm with the filling oozing out and making  my mouth water.

Service was really friendly and prices reasonable (can’t remember exact amount I’m afraid, I was in chocolate muffin heaven when I paid)  Will definately be popping back for more.

Suitable for disabled?  Yes, all on one level

The mezze platters are really lovely, you should go back to the Shore branch for some proper food! However, I have to say that I ate at the Canongate branch with friends a few weeks back and the service was really terrible. Pity. Will stick to the one at the Shore, methinks.

  2. I liked the staff at The Shore branch and will definately be back for a full meal. Perhaps the Canongate branch are shattered because of tourists ? Leith one is my local anyway :)
