More free fun for all the family!

Come along and hear daring tales of Scottish History in a fun interactive way in our truly unique 16th century building. Marvel at the daring tales of Hamish the Highlander; the Jacobite who tried to capture Edinburgh in 1745, listen in wonder as Eddie the Knight relives the time he scaled the Edinburgh Castle walls and be amazed by Reekie the Dragon and friends. All of this and tales of the Edinburgh Monk and the Legend of the Last Bear of Scotland!
And that’s not all! The museum has an extensive fun family Activity Area where your little ones can dress up in 18th and 19th century costumes and sample our array of fantastic art activities and interactivities…did we mention it’s also FREE?!
