Today I had a quick wander around town to pick up my tickets from various venues (first show Kevin Bridges tonight). Not everywhere is open yet, Udderbelly not open, Assembly Bar at the Mound not open yet, a lot of work to be done before tomorrow.
Graeme Pearson of www.oortours.com who is doing a show every day for the festival was promoting his up the High Street in the sunshine.
My review of his show is HERE - well worth popping along to.
He’s got the right idea over all the people who insist on shoving flyers into your hand. As a regular festival goer, I know what I am going to see and a polite ‘no thank you’ should be enough, but some promoters were insisiting on shoving theirs into the gap between my arms and by body as my hands were in my pockets ! Oh dear, it’s only day 1
Knowing that A Team The Musical is on for the festival, I thought that this chap might have something to do with it.

He was rather pleasant to speak to, but of course switched to his ‘Mr T’ character for a photo. I’m looking forward to seeing the show !
Lastly for now, I had a chuckle to myself as the Bedlam Theatre converts itself into a full blown venue. Where are all the local drunks going to hang out for the next 3 weeks ? Not to worry, they’re still stopping by as this evidence shows – taken at 11am
