REVIEW – Sign Spotting Project, Edinburgh Festival

Today I popped along to the Sign Spotting Project above and inside Princes Mall (or Waverley Market for the oldies).  It’s the work of Doug Lanksy who has collated the funniest signs from around the world.   More information and pics can be found at http://www.signspotting.com.

Sign Spotting

It really is worth a look, I guarantee you will laugh out loud to many of them.  It’s also great as the origin is displayed on the foot of the sign – so you can perhaps figure out what they were trying to say.

Don’t just look at the signs on the outside of the mall – make sure you go inside to see all the ones in there.  Lanksy has cleverly opened a stall with all the signs available as magnets, key rings and postcards and you can buy a couple of books of signs as well.  Reasonably priced.

If for some reason you can’t get along to the exhibition which runs until the 30th August, then have a look at most of the signs displayed by the pics I took   HERE
