Craiglockhart Hill is a great area to explore. You can reach it from a number of places such as Craiglockhart Terrace (free parking) or Napier University Campus. There are many paths you can take, but if you keep on heading upwards you will eventually come to the top and be able to see right over Edinburgh.
All my pictures of a little walk around Craiglockhart Hill are HERE
Part of Napier University is up here and the buildings are fabulous in themselves, but also the views of Edinburgh are great.
I kind of did a circular route that took me down a different way I came up and back via the Craiglockhart Pond which is a great place to sit and watch the swans and ducks.
You can easy spend an hour or so walking around this area. There’s a combination of steps and paths, but also suitable for dogs and bike riders.
If you start and end from Craiglockhart Terrace, you could continue your walk along the union canal which can be accessed nearby.
Suitable for disabled ? Not the Craiglockhart Hill part, but you could drive to Napier Uni Campus car park and take in the views.
