REVIEW – Quick Bite at Baroque, Broughton Street

UPDATE – This pub is now called Treacle as I found out when I wandered past yesterday (9th May 2009)   http://www.treacleedinburgh.co.uk/    Will do an updated post once I’ve eaten there.

Popped into Baroque at 39-41 Broughton Street for a very quick bite to eat before a show and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food.

We were more than happy to pay 6.50 for our burgers, but the staff pointed out that it was 2 meals for 10 pounds, even better.

They do a nice selection of cask ales, ciders and have a huge wine list, so something for everyone.

Food was served promptly and this was the chicken burger that we both had.

The chips were seasoned beautifully and the salad had peppers and onions in it mixed in a lovely Italian dressing. Burger was cooked well and I was overall really impressed with this quick bite to eat.

Would definately pop back here for a quick bite to eat another time.  The pub also has 2 for 1 drinks on a Friday afternoon/ early evening and free wi fi

Suitable for disabled ?   Yes, one small step into the premises and lots of room to manouvre once inside.  The toilets are on the same level, but the doors are not the widest so it may prove a little tricky for a wheelchair user.
