The Manna House in Easter Road (22-24, which is the end near London Road) is pretty much my favourite bakery in the whole of the city and is somewhat of an institution. http://www.manna-house-edinburgh.co.uk/

Manna House, Easter Road
I was shopping in Leith yesterday and thought I would pop into here for a little ‘something’.
You can sit in and eat here at one of the handful of tables. They serve savoury food, including pies and wraps alongside the usual tea, coffee and smoothies.
I was short on time and just wanted a little treat and opted for the fruit cream eclair.

Manna House Eclair
At £2, it’s maybe a little more expensive that your average bakery, but the good quality is unrivalled. The selection of cakes varies all the time and everything that you could think of is sold.
Despite the large size of the eclair and the awkwardness of eating it without cutlery, I must say I did a good job of it
I tried to savour the lovely pastry and the fruit hidden in the cream, but the eating experience was over all too soon. I could have easily eaten another one.
The Manna House has never disappointed in the many visits I have made there, highly recommended from me
Suitable for disabled ? Yes, the bakery is all on the ground floor and there is parking right outside the shop
