I had lunch at Gourmet Kitchen Burger (GBK) at 137 George St, Edinburgh yesterday. If you become a member of their ‘gang’ via http://www.gbkinfo.com/ they email you 2 for 1 vouchers, which probably explains why this restaurant was pretty much full at 1pm on Monday.

Their menu HERE is quite extensive. My friend plumped for the cajun burger without the bun and I opted for the blue cheese (stilton) – both £7.35
The burgers don’t come with fries, but you can order them as sides and they come in a little bowl (£2.75)
Here is a picture of my blue cheese burger

It really was delicious as it looked and a fair size, although in hindsight, I would have had room for a bowl of fries aswell
The stilton sauce was delicious and worked well with the burger, which was cooked to perfection as always.
This is actually the 5th time I have eaten here since December, but I was normally so in awe of the burger arriving that I tucked right into in without taking a photo !!
This place really is good for a quick good quality burger.
They don’t do desserts, but serve tea and coffee. You also order and pay at the same time, so when you are finished your meal, you can just up and leave without having to hang around for your bill, perfect for a quick bite to eat.
Don’t forget that there is a tip box on the counter (in the form of a cute VW Combi Van) if you have received good service .
Telephone (0131) 260 9896
OPEN: Sunday to Thursday 12pm to 10pm Friday & Saturday 12pm to 11pm
Suitable for Disabled ? Yes, the restaurant is on ground level
but the bathrooms are down the stairs !?

Milkshake tasted like it was made with water, burger was average and my chips were extremely greasy. Wont be going back any time soon.
