I was wandering around town as I so often do and came across a fabulous cake shop called ‘Have Your Cake & Eat It’ on Strathearn Road in the Grange (just around the corner from ‘Toast’)
My curiosity got the better of me and in I went to see the selection. The cakes are brilliant to look at and although I didn’t taste any of them, the smell of the chocolate in the air was enough to make my mouth water.
The owner is a very friendly guy who explained that you can also help MAKE the cake you order, or design one yourself and he will find a way to make it ! I don’t know of anywhere else in Edinburgh that allows a ‘hands on’ approach and it would be great to say that you helped make your wedding cake, or your granny’s birthday one etc

Give them a try and support local businesses ! When I have an occasion to celebrate, I’ll be back there in a flash.

I was lucky enough to get a taster of the cake I ordered which was a chocolate mini cake. The finished product was amazing so happy with my purchases and definately will be back.
