If the weather is not suitable for getting a coffee to take out and sit in Princes Street Gardens and admire the wonderful view of the Castle etc, then you do have a few choices.
Starbucks in Princes Street (near to Castle Street) is situated on the first floor and has great window seats that look over to the Castle. They also have seats in various windows that don’t look outwards, which I think is just a waste.
Another good place for coffee with a view is Costa Coffee at the bottom of Hanover Street. You can see the National Gallery, Ramsay Gardens and the Castle from there.
This picture is taken from the Starbucks and you can see why it’s silly to have the seats facing inwards with a view like that behind !!

Views Over Coffee
Starbucks take note and re arrange the furniture
Suitable for disabled ? No, both Starbucks and Costa Coffee with these views are on the first floor with no lift.
There is a ground level Costa on the corner of Castle Street and George Street and a ground level Starbucks on the corner of George Street and Hanover Street.
