INFO – Inverleith Park In Winter

Inverleith Park is a beautiful place to take a stroll through, feed the ducks at the pond, sit on one of the many benches and enjoy a panoramic view of the Edinburgh Skyline.

It is beside the Botanical Gardens, so worth doing the two on the same day.  There is also an excellent childrens playground there (fenced so no dogs allowed in) that has soft flooring.

It is enjoyable at any time of the year, but the grassy slope in the summer months is perfect for reading a book in the sun.

Nearby, when you exit it’s West entrance, there is THE best place for ice cream.  Run by an Italian family, The Alonzi newsagent at the bottom of Comely Bank Avenue sells delicious home made on the premises Italian ice cream.  You can keep your Luca’s and Mackies, there is no other choice as far as I’m concerned.

You can get snacks and ice lollies within the park, or on the road between Inverleith Park and the Botanics in the summer month, but there are no public toilets in the park.
